There is still time to help Wreaths Across America place Christmas wreaths on the graves of fallen service men and women all around the country and across the globe for the holidays. This year’s wreath-laying will take place on December 12th.
An extension of the Arlington Wreath Project begun in 1992 by Morrill Worcester of the Worcester Wreath Company, the project has expanded across the U.S. since 2005. In 2008, wreaths were laid in every state, Puerto Rico, and 24 overseas cemeteries – over 100,000 wreaths were laid by over 60,000 volunteers last year.
You can sponsor an individual wreath in your name or someone else’s name for only $15, or participate as a family, small or large business, or make a donation to the project. It is a comfort to the families of our fallen service men and women to know that their sacrifice is remembered at Christmas.
