Well, it's actually not so easy to state a number. What kind of tree do you have - full, slim line, flocked? Will the tree be viewed from all sides, or positioned in a corner? What other kinds of decorations do you use?

That sounds like a wonderful project for the tree - I love working with vellum (I'm a rubber stamper). I hope you'll send pictures when you're done - look us up on Facebook or use our forum to post some photos. I'm glad we were here with the information you needed! Good luck!

I know it is not November yet, but I am doing a Christmas tree that will be set up November 19 for an auction for the Bluffs Arts Council. I was looking for a site that would tell me how many feet of garland I would need. We are making all the angels out of vellum and the garland. It was a pattern my grandmother, who would be well over 100, gave me. I'm only 30 feet away. Your site is beautiful and the information great. I wish I lived closer. We are in Iowa...

I consulted with our resident expert, and she tells me the limit is usually 3 animated ornaments per 50-light strand, unless the animated ornament itself has different instructions. You may have an ornament that is very low powered and would be less taxing on the light strand than a typical animated ornament.

Have a wonderful Christmas!

Great site! I have a lot of animated ornaments that connect to the Xmas light socket. Do you know how many animated ornaments I can put on one light string?
Thanks

WOW! What a wonderful find, coming across your site tonight! With the info. on decorating the tree, maybe this year the outcome of the tree will match my vision. Maybe! Christmas really is a wonderful, magical time. In fact, I'm in the "spirit" tonight, for I've recently published my first Christmas article...originally to be about my nostalgic Christmas childhood memories, but it grew into a wonderful find about Santa Claus Letters and other inexpensive Santa themed gifts. If you are curious, I think you can click on my name to read it.

Anyway, you have a beautiful site, and I hope to visit your store and the Inn someday!

Cheers-Annie
