Cardinal Christmas Tree

Another work of breathtaking beauty from the design team!  They spent almost as much time on the ceiling around the tree as they did on the tree itself; it’s filled with branches and birds ~ including some darling miniature owls ~ and dripping with frosty fringe and icicles.

First, a picture of the blank canvas, with just a few cardinals alluding to what’s to come.

The ceiling ornamentation is already in place.

Add a few bits and bobs to that flocked tree, maybe a couple of yards of ribbon and a pair of deer, and voila! ~ you have a masterpiece!

It really takes your breath away!  Here are a few close-up pictures.  On the other side of the tree from the image above, you’ll find a delicate white birdcage, dripping with red crystals.  Notice that they have used really large silk poinsettias as additional focal points on the tree.

In addition to a wide variety of cardinal ornaments and cardinal light strands, you’ll also find doves, snowmen, Santas, and snow girls throughout the tree – everything in red and white, of course.  We like to mix in fabric and glass pieces, hand-painted ornaments, and a variety of berries and leaves.

Now that’s a frosty tree for the middle of summer!  I love those frozen pine cones, and the way the lights on the tree glow through the snow-covered needles.

I’m off roaming with my camera for the next tree to show off.  Please let us know if you have questions about any of the decorations you see here – we  add things in the store faster than we are able to get them onto the web, of course!

  1. I always like flocked Christmas trees the best. Something about Christmas just doesn’t seem right without these types of trees. Too bad here in Texas we don’t get the snow to go with it too often.

  2. I remember when we used to get four or five snows here in East Tennessee each winter, and now we are down to one or two – I really miss it!

One of my favorite winter scenes has always been a red cardinal in the snow with some sort of greenery. Therefore that has to be my absolute favorite tree that I’ve ever seen at The Christmas Place. It’s BEAUTIFUL! I love all of your trees, but that one takes the cake with me!

I would like to order this tree. How do I go about doing this?

  7. Peter, I’ve checked inventory and I’ve checked with our staff, and we have sold out of all three sizes of this tree! We used a 12.5-foot model for the display. I searched our site and found that we currently have a 6.5-foot, 7.5-foot, and 9-foot Snowy Balsam available, at very special pricing – all are pre-lit, so no wresting with light strands amoung the snowy branches. We also have a 9-foot Alaskan White and a 7.5-foot Antique White, both of which look really great.

As you look through our on-line tree selection, the words “wall tree” mean that the tree is flat on one side and designed to stand or hang flush against a wall, it’s not a full, round tree.

I hope one of our flocked trees will meet your needs this Christmas!
